First impressions of a transformed city

When we arrived to Bilbao we were very much surprised with the beauty and spaciousness of the city, nobody expected to find so much charm in a place other than Barcelona! Bilbao

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, and located in Bilbao

Fog Sculpture (F.O.G.) by Fujiko Nakaya Possibly the first artist to have worked with fog as a sculptural medium.
Designed by American architect Frank Gehry, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao building represents a magnificent example of the most groundbreaking 20th-century architecture. With 24,000 m2, of which 11,000 are dedicated to exhibition space, the Museum represents an architectural landmark of audacious configuration and innovating design, providing a seductive backdrop for the art exhibited in it.

“Tulips” by Jeff Koons A bouquet of multicolor balloon flowers blown up to gargantuan proportions (more than 2 meters tall and 5 meters across).
When you circulate the building, seeing it from the rare, then the true scale of the project reveal itself.
Sculpture 80 Balls Stainless steel by Anish Kapoor. I tried to capture the sculpture backlit, with the setting sun gently striking the building.
Among other things, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao has been compared to a ship, a meteorite, a spaceship from Alpha Centauri, a large soufflé and a metallic piece of cauliflower. Regardless of the analogy deployed, academics and critics alike praise the Frank Gehry building as one of the most influential and important of our time

Almost 9 meters tall, Maman is one of the most ambitious of a series of sculptures by Bourgeois that take as their subject the spider

Puppy by Jeff Koons Engaging with both past and present, employing sophisticated computer modeling to create a work that references the 18th-century formal European garden. A behemoth West Highland terrier carpeted in bedding plants, Puppy employs the most saccharine of iconography flowers and puppies
