I love you in bits and pieces,
Fragments scattered through my days.
Yet life draws lines too sharp to cross,
Differences wide in age, in ways.
Jealousy lingers in the air,
A shadow neither of us can claim.
My mind says “No,” clear and cold,
But my heart whispers your name.
I wish the world could bend its rules,
That we could meet where hearts agree.
But for now, love lives in fragments,
A quiet ache, a memory.
