Architecture is my thing because it’s the discipline that turns “we should probably do something about our data” into an actual plan. I like the moment where a vague business ambition gets translated into a structure: who owns what, how the pieces connect, what happens when something changes. That translation is where most of the real work in an organisation actually happens, even though it rarely gets the attention it deserves.
