A Visit to Saint Thomas Aquino Catholic Junior High School

Today we had the joy of visiting Saint Thomas Aquino Catholic Junior High School, and it turned into one of the most memorable moments of our trip. By pure luck, our visit happened to fall on a special day when the students were dressed in traditional Balinese clothing. Bright colours, intricate patterns and proud smiles filled the school grounds, creating an atmosphere that felt both festive and deeply rooted in tradition.

As we walked in, we were welcomed with a sense of warmth that only grows stronger when culture and community come together. The students gathered to perform songs on stage, prepared especially for us. Their voices carried so much confidence and joy, and even though we were visitors, they made us feel like part of the celebration.

There was something incredibly touching about seeing young people embrace their heritage with such pride. Each performance felt like a gift, a glimpse into the values and spirit that shape their school life.

Our time at Saint Thomas Aquino was short, but the experience left a lasting impression. Moments like these remind us how powerful cultural exchange can be, and how music, tradition and kindness can cross any distance.
