Flintehouse at Horstved Forest

A small hidden gem may be found not far from Tirstrup Airport, also known as Aarhus Airport. This little-known location has a dilapidated home that is nicely concealed in the Horstved woodland. When seen through a prism, this home has countless intentions. There are more attractions in the woodland besides Flintholm. There’s an ancient meeting place nearby that was utilized by local constitutional parties, and the square’s rostrum is now a memorial to Grundtvig.

The place is freely accessible by foot, with the only condition that you follow the forest trails.

Background

Peder Madsen Pedersens, a prominent member of the community, constructed the site. He was editor of “Skov og Folk” and chair of the planting association.

Peter Madsen Pedersen allowed Flintholm to be built in 1937 as a sort of gazebo. The stone used to build the modest cottage came from the nearby farms. The modest house was also loaned to the local scouts during the 1940s. For many years, guests could sign in the guest book.
