Pike Place Market – Seattle

The public market is a year-round farmers market selling all sorts of vegetable, seafood, cheese and flower stalls along with handicrafts. One of the major attractions is “the flying fish” where Vendors at Pike Place Fish Market cheerfully toss salmon to each other and crack jokes, always drawing a crowd at the fish stall by the market’s main entrance. The lower deck of the market is less crowded. Here you find a maze of small shops, and among them the “the original” Starbucks. Actually, it is not the original Starbucks was further down the street, but moved to the pike marked five years after its 1971 opening, but retains its vintage look.
